Our Tea Rooms are located in a lovely spot overlooking the garden and meadow. We try to use locally sourced ingredients to make our traditional homemade baked goods, which we’re really proud of. Our cozy dining area and garden are popular for lunch, and our homemade cakes are the perfect sweet treat when paired with our smooth coffee blend or breakfast tea. When summer arrives, you can enjoy a cream tea, maybe with a refreshing glass of Pimms while taking in the warm afternoon and watching the world go by.

Indulge in our specialty – the delightful Afternoon Tea. Each creation is thoughtfully and meticulously baked in-house to ensure its delectable taste. Our menu changes monthly, featuring special themed Afternoon Teas for Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Hallowe’en, and Christmas. Whether you prefer to dine in or take out, we’ve got you covered. Please note that we kindly request a minimum of 24 hours’ notice to ensure the best experience possible.

Afternoon Tea commences at 2pm/2.30pm with an extra sitting at 12 noon on special weekends such as Mothering Sunday when we expect to be very busy.

We do not run Afternoon Teas in the middle of Lunch Service.

If you prefer a smaller option we also sell Traditional Cream Teas and Savoury Teas. A ONE scone tea is £5.00 and a 2 scone tea is £7.50. Additional charges apply for gluten free and dairy free options.

There is a choice of seating available for your visit:

• Traditional Dining Room: seats up to 35
• Garden Snug: seats up to 5 for coffee & cake, or 4 for Afternoon Tea
• Shepherd’s Hut: seats up to 16 (not suitable for small groups)
• BBQ Hut: seats up to 15 (suitable for coffee/cake in the summer only)

If you have a particular date/place in mind it is advisable to call and book.

If you prefer your Luxury Afternoon Tea, Cream Tea or Whole Cake on a Collection or Local Delivery basis this may be possible. A small delivery charge will be payable and availability will depend on how busy we are on site. Minimum quantities apply so the best things is to either message me through the contact form on this page or call me direct. We’ll see what we can do for you!

Tea Room Enquiry Form

• Enquiries are answered Wednesday mornings and Thursday to Sunday.
• Enquiries sent after 6pm may be answered on the next Tea Room day.
• We need to know how many people the booking is for and if anyone has any dietary restrictions.
• Your enquiry form is not a booking until we confirm back to you.
• Just in case please check your spam folder for replies.

Opening Hours

If you are a guest at Double-Gate Farm, you have the convenient option of pre-ordering a takeout lunch from our Tea Rooms for the next day. Simply fill out the form provided in your Information Folder and submit it the night before. Please note that this service is not available on days when the Tea Rooms are closed.

LUXURY AFTERNOON TEA

Our Luxury Afternoon Teas are what we are known for!

If you wish to have Afternoon Tea, you must pre-book, with a minimum 24hrs notice.

Prices (per person, no sharing!), from £11.95/Child Menu (u12) or from £18.95/Adult with Breakfast Tea or Cafetiere Coffee.

Barista Coffees/Herbal Teas are not included with your Afternoon Tea. These are add-on options.

Our menus below have been carefully planned, however we do reserve the right to last minute changes due to ingredient shortages.

A £5 non-refundable deposit is required per person.
